| has enough horsepower to over come the traction of your tires and make launching a scary situation then its not needed. The biggest factor in getting better launch times is driver skill. If you get traction control and you are a average driver i wouldent expect your times to get much better, you will end up just bogging down everytime you launch. However it will keep you from roasting your tires on the line and not going anywhere but into a wall. So the saftey aspect is somthing to consider. And if you are a good driver traction control can be a amazingly powerful tool. There is a reason they banned it from F1.
